Court line striping in Utah for playable layouts

Grit Courts paints game lines on existing or new concrete when you want a playable court without a full resurfacing or court construction package.

Lines only

Playable layouts without the full coating scope.

Line striping is for homeowners who already have a flat concrete slab, or who are pouring new flatwork and only need court markings for now. We lay out pickleball, basketball, tennis, and multi-sport courts to standard dimensions so baselines, kitchens, and key lines read clearly on the pad.

If the surface also needs color, crack repair, or a new acrylic system, see court resurfacing & repair. For a ground-up athletic court with coatings and accessories, start with court construction.

Process

How we stripe your court

  1. 01

    Measure the slab

We confirm pad size, orientation, and which official layout fits before any paint goes down.

  2. 02

    Layout & masking

Lines are snapped and masked so edges stay crisp and games read correctly from every angle.

  3. 03

    Paint the lines

Durable court line paint applied to clean, dry concrete for contrast you can see in play.

  4. 04

    Walk-through

We review the finished layout with you and note any optional upgrades like color or resurfacing later.

Scope

What line striping includes

This service is line work on concrete. It does not replace a full court coating system, but it pairs well with new flatwork or a slab that is already in good shape.

  • Layout to standard court dimensions for the sports you choose
  • Crisp masking and line paint on the playing surface
  • Pickleball, basketball, tennis, or multi-sport combinations as the pad allows
  • Coordination with new pours or existing pads on the same property
  • Guidance on colors and layouts using the court designer before we quote

Planning

Before we paint

Slab condition

Concrete should be clean, sound, and dry. Major cracks or heaving may need repair before lines adhere well.

Orientation

Sun, neighbors, and access paths help decide how the court sits on the pad and where lines should run.

Layout choice

Preview line colors and combinations in the court designer, then we translate that plan to the slab.

Future upgrades

Striping now does not block resurfacing or a full court build later when you are ready to expand the project.

FAQ

Planning questions

How much space do I need for a pickleball court?

A standard court is usually about 30' wide by 60' long to allow plenty of service and sideline space. As the dimensions shrink, you will lose some of the buffer space outside of your playing lines until you reach the lines which are 20' wide by 44' long. For courts with basketball lines, we recommend being at least 25' wide in order to have a full size regulation 3-point line. If your court is more narrow than this, we may have to do non-regulation lines.
