Court slabs and concrete flatwork in Utah
When we pour your court, it is usually the most cost-effective time to pour your other concrete too: patios, walkways, driveways, pads, and the pour types listed below, all scheduled with the same crew on site.
Concrete
One pour for your court and flatwork
Court pours bring trucks, crews, and equipment to your property. Adding patios, walks, driveways, or pads while we are there often costs less than calling us back for a separate pour later.
Every slab still gets the right mix, reinforcement, and cure for how you will use it, whether that is a court surface, a driveway, or outdoor living space.
Patios & Walkways
Outdoor living spaces and pathways that connect areas of your property with clean lines and lasting surfaces.
We pour patios with proper slope for drainage and finish with broom, trowel, or exposed aggregate textures. Control joints are saw-cut to manage cracking. Walkways are sloped away from structures and finished with slip-resistant surfaces.
Decorative options include stamped patterns, acid staining, and integral color. All patios and walks are built on compacted base with vapor barrier where required.
Driveways
Residential and commercial driveways designed for vehicle load, turning radius, and long-term durability.
Standard driveways are poured at 4 to 6 inches with wire mesh or rebar. For heavy vehicles or long runs, we increase thickness and reinforce with additional steel. Aprons and turnarounds are planned for clearance and drainage.
Expansion joints are placed at garage thresholds and every 10 to 12 feet. Finishes range from standard broom to exposed aggregate or stamped overlays.
Pavers
Interlocking and natural stone pavers laid on concrete or aggregate base for patios, walkways, and driveways.
Pavers are laid on screeded sand or mortar beds over compacted base. Edges are restrained with aluminum or concrete borders. Patterns like herringbone, basket weave, and running bond are chosen for structural interlock and aesthetics.
Joints are swept with polymeric sand or pointed with mortar for stability. We match or complement existing paver colors and textures on your property.
Retaining Walls
Engineered walls that hold back soil, level slopes, and create usable terraces around courts and outdoor spaces.
Segmental block walls with geogrid reinforcement handle slopes and tall runs. Poured concrete walls are designed for load and soil pressure, then finished with stucco, stone veneer, or integral color.
All walls include proper drainage: weep holes, drain tile, and gravel backfill. Cap stones and coping tie the wall into the landscape design.
Post-tension
High-performance slab systems with tensioned cables that resist cracking and allow thinner pours over expansive soils.
Post-tension slabs use steel cables stressed after the concrete cures, creating a monolithic structure that spans problem soils without thick reinforcement. We coordinate with structural engineers for cable layout and stressing schedules.
This system is ideal for large court slabs, pool decks, and foundations in clay or fill conditions where traditional slabs would crack.
Hardscapes
Retaining walls, stone patios, pavers, and outdoor structures that tie together courts, pools, and landscape features.
Hardscape work goes beyond concrete: segmental walls, flagstone terraces, paver runs, and steps that manage grade and frame outdoor spaces. We coordinate materials, drainage, and lighting so hardscape reads as part of the whole design.
Flatwork
The slab comes before the game.
Same crews that pour our pickleball and basketball courts also handle concrete around your property: driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks, plus lifting for slabs that have sunk or settled.
